ADA Signs

American Made ADA Compliant Signs, Restroom Signs, Handicap Parking Signs, Truncated Domes and ADA Pads

Did you know that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) legally requires certain signage at offices, schools, medical centers, transportation centers, and other public places? ADA signs are designed to make sure that everyone, despite having any kind of disability or impairment, can easily navigate through your building. It is essential to incorporate these signs, not only to pass inspection, but to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees, patrons, and guests.

At Signarama, we can help you design custom ADA signs that fit your overall décor and are 100% ADA compliant. We can help you customize Braille signs, tactile signs, room number signs, restroom signs, handicap accessible signs and more. No matter the industry and regardless of the size of the business, all businesses need to be compliant and incorporate ADA signage for entrances, exits, elevators, restrooms, and even parking. Signs can include custom designs and colors, are usually fabricated in as little as a day or two, and can come in a variety of finishes and quality materials that meet the ADA standards.

ADA SIGN MOUNTING TIPS YOU NEED NOW

  • In order for multiple signs of different sizes to be placed on the same visual plane, making them more accessible, they should be mounted between 48 inches at the lowest point from the baseline, and 60 inches at the highest.
  • Doors need to be considered in sign placement. If you’re placing a tactile or braille sign for or near a door, accessibility rules depend on what kind of door (single or double), which way the door swings (inward or outward), and how much space there is near the door. The only time you can place a sign directly on the door is when it swings outward. These rules are for safety reasons and Accurate Sign is familiar with ADA law inside and out
  • Make sure that the placement of the signs does not block any doors or any emergency equipment from functioning.
